Prievozský Hunting Lodge

- Kaštieľska 2579 -
The two-story building, which resembles a castle, was probably built in 1902 by Count Eugen Csáky as his summer and hunting residence. It was built on the place where during the 19th century, a mansion stood, which served as a hunting lodge and belonged to the Pálffy family. Later on, in the years between 1916 and 1933, the castle was gradually sold off and it was also bought with part of the garden by the sisters of the congregation of the Daughters of Saint . They built a monastery in the castle and an infirmary in part of the former stable. The building was nationalized in 1954 and rebuilt into a geriatric sanatorium in 1956. After the fall of communism, the building and the adjacent area were returned to the original owner, the Congregation of the Daughters of Saint Francis of Assisi.
