Lazar Gestetner House

The construction of the three-story building, which was built for residential purposes, was completed in 1903. The building was constructed according to the design of the Jewish Hungarian architects and for Lazar Gestetner and his family. During a certain period of time, the building was inhabited by Terézia Rotterová, Pavol Rotter, and Eva Rotterová, who, during the in 1942, were all deported to concentration camps where they were murdered.

The on the corner of the Art Nouveau building is covered with a roof, which is crowned with a . The same counts for the two domes, which are placed on top of the three . A cornice is placed on top of the pointed top gable, which is embellished with an motif. The underneath it, which features an oval window, is richly decorated with , , and a head of a . More of these heads can be admired above the third floor windows, where there is also a garland and in one case even a and a decorative shell. The parts between the third and second floor windows contain butterfly motifs, , and even more cartouches and pediments. The two , which are different in size, are both secured with a beautifully decorated wrought iron railing. The first floor is richly decorated with all sorts of floral decorations, including the that crowned the two columns that flank the main entrance door.
