Schwarz Brothers House

- Piața Avram Iancu 9 -
The symmetrical three-story building, which was built with commercial premises on the first floor and residential premises on the second floor, was constructed somewhere at the beginning of the 20th century on a place where an old three-story building used to stand. It's unknown who commissioned the construction of the building, which was built according to an unknown architect, but the commercial premises were used at that time by the Schwarz Brothers and József Hubert, the latter of which later became in use by Adolf Weicl. The building housed many different commercial businesses and tenants over the years that came after that.
The previous building is visible in an old photo from 1901
The protruded part of the main facade of the Art Nouveau building, which interrupts the , contains a beautifully shaped window, as well as some lovely floral ornamentation. More use is made of floral decorations, but also of beautiful play of lines and motifs, including heart motifs. The floral decorations are also reflected in the wrought iron railing of the above the carriage gate.
