Radovan Golubić House

The two-story corner building, which houses both a residential and a commercial function, was constructed in 1885 for the wealthy merchant family, the Radosavljević family. In 1921, after the marriage between the rich noblewoman Ankica Radosavljević and the lawyer and politician Radovan Golubić, who was born in 1885, the building became the home of the new Golubić family. Radovan's father was a Greek Catholic priest, and his mother came from a noble Sunić family. He graduated from the theological high school and the Faculty of Law in , and in 1924, he opened a law office in Slavonski Brod and was appointed new government commissioner, a position he kept for about two months. He was the president of the District Committee of the Croatian Federalist Peasant Party and the initiator of two local newspapers. In 1948, as a widower, he married Ksenia Laboš, who was 28 years younger than him. After the Second World War, more precisely in 1957, a significant part of their property was nationalized. Part of the house was returned to family ownership only four decades later. Radovan Golubić died in Slavonski Brod on December 15, 1973.

Two different-sized strips of are placed underneath the roof cornice of the Neo-Renaissance building. The air vents that are located in the frieze, as well as the parts underneath the second floor windows, with the exception of the two , are all decorated with . Either a pointed or a segmental is placed above the second floor windows, under which some of them two supportive adorned with can be admired, while underneath the other ones, can be seen that are crowned with a Doric . The , which are located above the circle-top windows on the first floor, are also adorned with volutes, but also with foliage. The on the first and second floors, as well as certain stone blocks on the first floor, are decorated with .
