Kino Apolo

- Ulica Ante Starčevića 11 -
The construction of the multi-story building of the Apolo Cinema, which was solemnly built for cultural and entertainment purposes, was completed in 1919. The building was built by the photographer and owner of the Apolo Cinema, Pavel Paja Dimitrijević, who started showing silent films here in 1920. In these days, in Brod na Sava, nowadays Slavonski Brod, it was a kind of ritual for the whole family to the cinema to watch a silent cinematographic show accompanied by live piano and violin music. Later on, the cinema became known as Kino Partizan, and later on to the younger people as Kino Brod.

The building, which is built in the style of Art Nouveau, features a glazed that was used by Pavel Dimitrijević as part of his photography studio. A total of four of different heights were installed, which, like the rest of the building, are decorated with geometric decorations.
