Angel Yuvanov House

The construction of the two-story building, which was built with commercial and residential purposes, was completed in 1890. The building was constructed according to the design that was created by the Czech architect as the home and workshop of the rich craftsman Angel Yuvanov. The building is also called the House with the Dolls because of the four statues that were placed on top of the front and rear facades.

The four statues of female figures that depict and are placed on top of a can be seen on both the north and southern sides of the Neo-Renaissance building. On the northern side, the statue on the left holds a scroll with a plan of the building in one hand and a drawing tool in the other. The statue on the right is depicted with a hammer in one hand and a female head carved from stone in the other. On the southern side, the statue on the right is holding a lyre harp, while the one on the left should've held a roll of parchment, which is no longer the case. Above the second floor windows, in addition to a pointed , you can see a , which is either adorned with an angel, a that depicts the Greek god , or a lion head . A fragment is placed underneath these windows, which is embellished with a that's swinging on a . The on the second floor are crowned with a Corinthian , while the ones on the first floor are crowned with a Composite capital, which features another putto. Above the main entrance door, another keystone adorned with the Greek god Hermes can be seen, as well as a balcony that's secured with a lovely wrought iron railing and supported by two wrought iron .
