Nika Koszta House

The two-story residential and commercial building, which is part of the Canonic Houses together with the surrounding three houses, was attested around 1758, so it is likely that they were built before that date. Over the years this particular building had different owners, including Nika Koszta, who was also known by the name Nikola. In 1828, the commercial part of the building, which was located on the first floor, became in use by the restaurant with the name La Balotul din Ardeal. In 1844 the four houses had a single facade, which was probably damaged during the , after which individual facades were rebuilt.

On top of the building, which is built in the styles of Eclectic and Neo-Classical, you'll be able to see a that's adorned with a rising sun and . The same dentils are also used to decorate the roof , although it also contains a much smaller strip of dentils as well. The straight that are placed above the second floor windows are supported by two or more , which are embellished with a . Underneath these windows, you can admire three lovely and a bit further down a cornice that's supported by loads of . Above the carriage gate, which is flanked by two crowned with a Doric , you can see two more rosettes, as well as .
