The original building, which was built with a residential and commercial function, was built all the way back in 1812. The building was owned by Emericus Oszlányi in 1828, and after the reconstruction in 1904, which was executed according to a design of the Hungarian architect , it became in use by the Economic Bank of South Hungary. After the 1920s, the building changed ownership and became in use by the Swabian and Agricultural Bank. After the , the building was nationalized and transformed into collective housing. In this period the building endured major damage, due to aggressive and irresponsible interventions, which endanger the structural stability.

The roof of the building, which is built in the styles of Eclectic and Art Nouveau, features two protruded parts. The roof and the rest of the building are separated by a that's embellished with . The parts above the third floor windows are adorned with geometric forms and in some cases some floral ornamentation. Above the second floor windows, you can see a straight supported by two , which are decorated with circles and . The that stretch all the way up from the second to the third floor, are crowned with a Composite adorned with a . Two of the pilasters are enhanced with even more geometric forms, a palm leaf, and ribbons. Above the beautifully decorated , which is placed above three of the windows, you can admire a surrounded by a laurel and oak twig. Underneath the second floor windows, you can either see a containing five or a balcony that's supported by two and secured with a cast iron railing.
