Vršac Bishop's Palace

The construction of the building, which was built for residential and religious purposes, took place between 1750 and 1757 during the reign of bishop . It was built as a representative two-story building for the needs of the bishops of Vršac, after the relocation of the diocese from to Vršac. On the first floor of the palace is a chapel dedicated to the Holy Archangels and , with an iconostasis painted between 1761 and 1765. The iconostasis is one of the few preserved iconostasis from the 18th century. Significant alterations to the palace building were carried out in 1904, in the interior, as well as the exterior.

The roof of the building, which is built in the styles of Neo-Renaissance and Neo-Baroque, is covered with beautiful glossy roof tiles and topped with three crosses as a . At this same height, you can see three richly decorated , one of which contains a coat of arms and crowned with a crown. The piers that surround the cartouches are adorned with and the balustrades that connect these piers contain ovally shaped . Underneath the roof , you can see several ornaments, including , , and scroll-like ornaments.

Some of the second floor windows are topped with a adorned with two , while the other windows are topped with another cartouche, as well as a supported by two . The last-mentioned windows are flanked by pairs of , which are all crowned with an Ionic . The central balcony, which is placed above the main entrance door, is secured with a stone balustrade and supported by four massive corbels.
