Andon Ruschev House

The construction of the building, which was built for residential and commercial purposes, was completed in 1909. The building, which was built according to a design of the Bulgarian architect was built for the Bulgarian industrialist Andon Ruschev. He was the son of Ruscho Andonov-Khoshtera, a manufacturer of woolen textiles, who became rich by accidentally finding a treasure stolen from the Turkish post office. Andon was married to Matilda Stefanova, daughter of Doctor Georgi Stefanov, and niece of the Sliven public figure, merchant, and representative from the People's Liberal Party Dimitar Hadjistefanov. The building was nationalized in 1948 and used as an administrative building for various institutions, and later on, it was bought and restored by the Italian businessman Eduardo Miroglio.
