The construction of the two-story building, which was built for residential and commercial purposes, was finished in 1921. It was built for the merchant and philanthropist Sava Kostić from Niš, who got married to Desa at the beginning of the last century. In 1954, the building was handed over by Sava Kostić to the Red Cross, which is an international organization that was founded on February 9, 1863. Together with pharmacist Per Anđelković and merchant Nikola Jovanović, he renewed the work of this organization in Niš, making it the first renewed Red Cross organization in Serbia after the .

In the central part of the symmetrical Eclectic building, you can admire seated figures of a boy and girl with floral decorations and in their midst a monogram with the initials of the former owner. Above this spectacle, you can see a that separates the attic from the rest of the building, which is adorned with pretty unusually shaped . The second floor windows, which are flanked by in different sizes, are topped with a straight .
