Marin Rashev House

The two-story building, which was built somewhere at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century, belonged to wealthy merchant Hadji Marin Vasilev Rashev. He was a craftsman who used to live in the town of in Southern Bessarabia, together with other Yambol residents. Later on, he settled in Yambol, where in 1889, he bought fields, a mill next to the Tundzha River, built the Lev Distillery, became owner of an oil mill and a butchery, and gave loans to residents in Yambol. In the house of Marin Rashev, Prince stayed twice, on January 22 and 23, 1888, and on April 17 and 18, 1890 with his mother, Princess .

Hadji Marin Vasilev Rashev was married to Donka Stoyanova Chaperova, with whom he had five children, who were Vasil born in 1882, Georgi born in 1889, Kerachka born in 1891, Tsvetana, and Shtiliana. Their daughter Shtiliana got married to the manufacturer Yordan Danchev, who together had one son Petar-Pavel Danchev. Yordan became sick with tuberculosis, and despite the care of his parents and Stiliyana, he died soon after the birth of their son. Shtiliana married for a second time, this time with Hristo Alexiev from Yambol, with whom she had four children, Donka, Marin, Nedyalka, and Kiril.

The main entrance is beautifully covered by a that's secured with wrought iron fences that are embellished with . The loggia is supported by two columns that are crowned with a capital that's decorated with an and motif.
