The building permit for the construction of the two-story building, which was built for educational purposes, was issued on June 5, 1893. It was built on a plot where in 1808 the residential building of Joseph Weigel was built. The construction of the current building was completed on October 13, 1894, and was executed for the Franz Wieszners Boys' School, which was founded in 1863 and named after its owner. One of the most well-known people who studied at the school was the Romanian painter Stefan Jäger, who in 1889, at the age of 12, was sent to the school. In the 1950s, the German Kindergarten was operating in the building.
