Deposit and Savings House

The two-story building was originally built for residential purposes somewhere in the second half of the 19th century. In 1861, it also gained a commercial function when the Deposit and Savings House, founded in 1847, took up residence on the first floor of the building. The initiator and first president of the bank, which was the oldest and most important bank until the , was Sztaroveszky Károly, a medic and founder of a children’s hospital in the city. The builder of the building was a mason named Demetrios, who was an employee of the chapter, and in 1887, the building was modernized, according to the plans of Kálmán Rimanóczy Senior, and in 1909, his son, the architect renovate the building by changing the facade to its current form. After 1900, other credit institutions operated here, the Crucea de Aur pharmacy and Müller Salamon's confectionery

The three protruded parts of the mansard roof of the building, which is built in the styles of Eclectic and Neo-Renaissance, are topped with a bell-shaped dome. The balustrades that can be seen around the same height, contain the same as the ones used in the . Some of the , as well as the that can be seen underneath the roof , are adorned with foliage.
