Laura Nayer House

The construction of the two-story building, which was solely built for residential purposes, started in 1903 and was completed in 1904. The construction, which was executed according to the design of the Austrian architect and builder , was commissioned by Laura Nayer. She was the first in the street to start construction and received the first occupancy permit after the completion. The building was designed to house four spacious and functional apartments, which were intended for rent. In 1927, Doctor Josip Horn together with his wife Marija, a prominent lawyer from Osijek, became the owner of the building.

The two protruded parts that are as the same level at the attic of the Art Nouveau building, are beautifully ornamented with decorative vases and . Underneath the roof , you can admire an and a motif, as well as several adorned with . The ornamentation above the second floor windows consists of a supported by two corbels, and some beautiful floral ornamentation. The parts underneath these same windows, as well as the , are embellished with even more cartouches. The are also two on this floor, which are supported by two corbels and secured with a lovely wrought iron railing. Above the main entrance door and the first floor windows, you can admire some and some ornaments resembling a door knocker.
