Financial Administration Palace

The three-story building, which was constructed somewhere between 1891 and 1892 by order of the Neumann family of industrialists, was built to house the Financial Administration. Later on, in the 1950s, the Faculty of Animal Science functioned and operated in the building, and after that, it became the Sanitary High School. Sometime later, it became the headquarters of the rectorate of the University in Arad named after the Romanian engineer, inventor, airplane constructor, and early pilot, , and a wing of the building being the headquarters of the Treasury of the municipality of Arad.

A magnificent onion dome is placed on top of the northwestern corner of the building, which is built in the styles of Eclectic and Rococo. At the same height, you can see various dormers adorned with a lion head surrounded by floral ornamentation, as well as balustrades adorned with a lovely pattern. The that's located on the northern side of the building, contains a surrounded by a male and female figure blowing a trumpet. The tympanum and the roof are decorated with a , an , and an motif, as well as , some of which are adorned with foliage.

The that are placed above the third and second floor windows are embellished with decorative shells, , and cartouches. The ornamentation underneath the windows, including the first floor windows, consists of , adorned with , and in some cases acanthus foliage or a lion head protome. The , which are placed above the first floor windows, are decorated with , like the surrounding stone blocks. The richly embellished cartouches that are placed above these keystones contain an eagle head protome. The main entrance, which is located on the northern side of the building, is surrounded by pilasters and pillars crowned with Doric capitals, circular windows surrounded by beautiful ornamentation, as well as several . The building features one , which is located on the northwestern corner and supported by two .
