Daskal Dimitrov Building

- Ploshtad Svoboda 2 -
The three-story building, which was constructed in 1911 by a project of an unknown architect, was built with a public function. The building was built by the wealthy entrepreneur from the small village of , Dimitar Ivanov, also known as Daskal Dimitar. He was a tobacconist, and his nickname Daskal came from his high erudition and education for the time. The Doverie Bank, of which the Bulgarian merchant Todor Patkov was the largest shareholder, was located in the southern part of the first floor. On May 13, 1923, , the prime minister at that time, gave a long speech from one of the balconies of the building.
