Ferenc Raichle Palace

The three-story building, which was constructed between 1909 and 1910, was built for residential and commercial use. The building was built for the Hungarian architect Ferenc Raichle according to his own design. He was born in on February 23, 1869, and completed his university studies in . After that, he moved to , where he got married and created a lot of his work. He was introduced to modern Art Nouveau architecture through , also born in Apatin, who as 's classmate and colleague, together formed the new Art Nouveau Hungarian national style. Due to financial problems, he left Subotica and settled in Szeged for a while where to build this palace for himself. After the , he settled in Budapest where he died on April 12, 1960, at the age of 91.

Between 1911 and 1921, the Apollo Movie Theatre operated in the building, and after the , it functioned as a dormitory. From the 1970s onwards, it has accommodated the Ságvári Endre High School of the University of Szeged, and since 1986, it has been the main building of the institution.

On the corner top of the Art Nouveau building, you can see a distinctive tower-like structure, which is covered with a dome that's crowned with a . The tower-like structure is beautifully decorated with all sorts of floral ornamentation, including some . The two top gables on each side of the building, are also beautifully embellished with all sorts of floral decorations, which count for many more places on the facade. An is placed on both sides of the corner, which is supported by two incorporated . The that's placed on top of each of the oriel windows, is covered with a wooden . On the eastern side of the building, you can see another balconet, which is supported with a total of six corbels.
