Pál-Ferenc Tóth Palace

The construction of the three-story building, which was solely built with a residential function, started in 1900 and was completed in 1901. The construction was ordered by the entrepreneuring brothers, Ferenc and Pál Tóth, who commissioned the design to the Hungarian architect . The architect wanted to make it possible for the tenants to use each room of their apartment as an office or clinic. Due to the irregularity, a conflict arose between the city and the owners, and housing permits were not issued by the authority until 1902. Lawyers, officials, and doctors moved into the building, including the Hungarian royal forester Ferenc Kiss, who was born in on April 24, 1860, in the family of Zsigmond Kiss, a local farmer.
Ferenc Kiss
Ferenc Kiss first worked in the estate of the bishopric of , then in the Ministry of Agriculture. He was one of the founding members of the National Forestry Association established in 1885. In this same year, he was sent to Szeged by , the national chief forester. By 1888, he prepared the development plan for the forests around Szeged, detailing the afforestation of the sand areas, and already this year the reforestation of the forests began based on the plant plan. In 1923, together with , the state secretary for agriculture, the law on the afforestation of the Great Plain was created. For a year, a part of today's Ásotthalom forest was named after him, and in 1925 he retired with the title of Ministerial Councillor. Ferenc Kiss passed away on June 13, 1952, in Szeged, at the age of 92.

In 1941, due to the , a shelter was created in the basement, and in 1957, the stables in the yard were converted into apartments.

The dome that's placed on top of the corner of the building, which is built in the styles of Rococo and Neo-Renaissance, features a lantern tower that's crowned with a . The dormer that's placed within the dome features three decorative vases, a within its midst a , two adorned with three , several , and a decorative shell. In addition to , the roof is also beautifully decorated with an motif. The ornamentation around the windows consists of many similar ornamentations that were used to embellish the dormer, with the addition of a placed above the first floor windows. Above the main entrance, there's a balcony that's secured with a beautiful wrought iron railing, which in addition to two is also supported by a keystone. To the left and right of this entrance, there are two beautifully decorated ornaments containing ANNO 1900-1901.
