Apiculture Museum

The three-story building, which got its current appearance somewhere in the 18th century, was used as a manor for many centuries. The manor was built on a plot that's been inhabited since 1169 and was used over the years by many prominent noble families, including the Counts of Ortenburg and the Dukes of Celje. In 1616, the manor was bought by the counts of Thurn-Valsassina. Most of the monuments from their era have been preserved, namely on the facade and inside the building itself. Until nationalization after the , the manor was owned by the Counts of Thurn. From 1840 to the second half of the 20th century, the building housed various offices. In more recent years, the building became the home of the Museum of Apiculture and the Radovljica Municipal Museum.

On top of the building, which is built in the styles of Neo-Baroque and Neo-Classical, you can see a . Around the third floor windows, you can admire a , as well as a with each another facial expression. The spectacle above the second floor windows consists of a that features a containing different characters, which is surrounded by all sorts of floral ornamentation. The parts underneath these windows, as well as the iron-barred first floor windows, are lavishly adorned with . The main entrance, which is flanked by two , is topped by a and a heart-shaped ornament containing coats of arms, both of which are embellished with another mascaron.
