Municipal Tobacco Warehouse

The multi-story building, which was built as a storage facility, was constructed somewhere between 1908 and 1910. It was built according to the design that was created by the Jewish architect as a tobacco warehouse for the Israeli tobacco merchant Kiezi Emin. Kiezi who was the founder of the tobacco trading company named Turmac, had his business headquarters in . In 1970, it was bought by the Municipality of Kavala, and houses the Naval Museum permanently in one hall on the first floor and periodic exhibitions in the other, while it was planned to house the Folklore Museum and the Tobacco Museum of Kavala.

On top of the symmetrical building, which is built in the Neo-Classical style with Neo-Baroque elements, you can see four top gables embellished with either a or a decorative sun. At this same height, you can also see some geometric decorations, , as well as floral ornamentation, including palm leaves and . More volutes are used to decorate the and the iron-barred windows. The that separates this part from the rest of the building, is adorned with . The , which are abundantly present, are all crowned with a Corinthian .
