Old Division Building

The construction of the three-story building, which was built between 1904 and 1905, was commissioned by the Turkish landowner Haji Sikir Aga. After the of populations in 1923, the ownership was taken by the Greek state, and for several years it housed the services of the Fourth Army Corps. then the Municipal Commission for Popular Education. From 1945, after the end of the , onwards as a command post, initially of the 7th and then of the 11th Infantry Division which was based in Kavala. In the 1970s, for a short period of time, it housed school classes of the Kavala Boys' High School, and from 1982 onwards the offices and classrooms of the Prefectural Committee of Popular Education of Kavala.

The roof overhang of the building, which is built in the Eclectic style with Neo-Classical, is supported by loads of . The many , which can be seen all around the building, are either crowned with a Composite or an Ionic . Some of the , which are present in different sizes, are embellished with floral decorations. The , which can be seen on the southern side of the building, features a surrounded by floral ornamentation.
