Kleon Kradonellis House

The original two-story building, which was constructed around 1884, was built for residential purposes. Its current form is due to radical external changes made after 1920. It was the home of the Greek architect Kleon Kradonellis, who was born in 1912, in Kavala, and studied architecture at the National Technical University of , from where he graduated first in 1935. His works include a lot of different buildings, built in various different cities in Greece, and in the period between 1959 and 1962, he made the initial study of the Kavala Administration Building. The Greek actress, singer, activist, and politician, also lived here for some time during the filming of the movie .

On top of both sides of the symmetrical building, which is built in the Rococo style, you'll be able to see a featuring a statue. The ornamentation at this same level consists of , , foliage, and other floral decorations. The floral ornamentation continues in the frieze, underneath the straight , as well as the . The columns are crowned with a Romanesque , while the fewer are crowned with a Doric one. The balcony, located above the main entrance, is supported by four and secured with a stone balustrade with incorporated .
