Municipal Conservatory

The two-story building, which was originally built for residential purposes and later gained an educational function, was constructed around 1884. It was one of the first houses built after 1864, with the departure of the Greeks from the Panagia district, and was originally owned by the Grigoriadis Brothers. In 1925, during his visit to Kavala, King , delivered a speech from the balcony of the building. It took its final shape after operations at the end of the , in order to be used as a bank. From 1929 until the 1960s, it housed the Agricultural Bank of Greece. Since October 1990, it has housed the Municipal Conservatory of Kavala, which was founded in 1938.
