Archaeological Museum

The two-story building, which was originally built with an administrative and commercial function, was built between 1923 and 1924. It was built as a branch of the Romanian National Bank in the city, which at that time was occupied by Romania. Since 1990, it has housed the Archaeological Exhibition of the History Museum. On November 18, 1898, the teachers' council at the State Pedagogical School decided to build a museum. The existence of the museum was legalized with the approval of the Statute on January 11, 1899, by the Minister of Public Education, . The first head of the museum was the history teacher Todor Ikonomov.
