Old Town Hall

The three-story building, which was built in 1923, was originally built for administrative purposes. The building, which was built to function as the Gorna Jumaya Town Hall, was built according to a project that came from the hand of the Bulgarian architect . The order for the construction was given by the then mayor of the town, , the builder of a modern image of the town for those years. A few months after the coup in 1923, Lazar Parashkevanov stepped onto the platform of Gorna Jumaya railway station. He carries his death sentence in his pocket, but he doesn't even suspect it. The 33-year-old was interned from , as he is a member of the Bulgarian Agricultural People's Union and close to the assassinated Prime Minister . Mechkuevski opens the letter and can't believe his eyes, but had already made a fateful decision about the future of the architect. The mayor refuses to comply with the instructions in the letter and destroys it. So instead of meeting death, the young architect faces one of the many professional challenges in his life. He is called to make a modern city center of Gorna Jumaya and build a town hall.
