Fugger Palace

The two-story residential building was built in 1886 according to plans of the Austrian architect . The construction was commissioned by Prince Karl Fugger von Babenhausen for his daughter Paula Vojkffy. Karl, born on February 4, 1829, in , was a German landlord, who belonged to the nobility and served as an officer in the Austrian army. After being educated by private teachers, he started his studies in 1842 at the Engineering Academy in , which he completed in 1847. After his marriage, he spent most of his free time at , his wife's family home in . Together they had three children, two daughters, Paula and Maria, and one son, Karl. Paula killed herself in 1886 at the age of 39, and she did not live to see the completion of the palace building. Later on, the building was purchased by Milesi's family, and the last resident who lived there from this family was Richard von Milesi.

On top of the building, which is built in styles of Neo-Renaissance and Eclectic, you can see several and dormers. The that are placed underneath the roof are all embellished with foliage. The seen in the part of the building are crowned with either a Corinthian or a Doric , while the other pilasters are crowned with an Ionic one. Above some of the windows, you can admire a pointed , while above some of the other windows, you can admire a straight pediment. Some of these pediments are supported by two , which also count for the window sills. The building contains many stone blocks, some of which are and , while some others are decorated with .
