Cafe Moro

The two-story residential and commercial building was most likely built somewhere at the beginning of the 20th century. It housed the department store and cafe called Moro, which was founded in 1791 and owned by the entrepreneur Eduard Moro. The department store sold all sorts of goods, including delicacies, spices, and colonial and haberdashery goods, which were also supplied to the Imperial Austrian State Civil Servants Association. The cafe provided, in addition to coffee, tea, hot chocolate, wine, and beer, also in ice creams, liqueurs, ham, German sausages, salami, and various cheeses.

On the corner of the Eclectic building, you can admire a , which is covered with a roof crowned with a . The turret is supported by two cone-shaped and a column that's crowned with a Doric . The roof , as well as the straight that are placed on top of the second floor windows, are all decorated with . Certain parts of the turret are adorned with that contains the initials E.M., the initials of the former owner. The part around the cartouche, as well as the , are lavishly decorated with foliage. The window sills that are placed underneath the second floor windows are supported by two corbels, which are adorned with and a gemstone ornament. The top window, which is located on the western side of the building, is topped with both a and a pointed pediment. Underneath the window, which is flanked by two that are crowned with a Composite capital, you can see an that's supported by two corbels.
