Martin Copony Palace

The two-story building, which was built for residential and commercial purposes, was built somewhere at the end of the 19th century. It was built for the industrialist Martin Copony, who was born in in 1836. In 1864, he bought the paper factory, and in 1871, he established the first parquet factory in Transylvania. For a while, Martin Copony was also the director of the Schiel factory. Between 1910 and 1911, the Râșnov Electric Plant was built, by a joint-stock company owned by Martin Copony, which aimed to ensure the electricity needed for public and domestic lighting, as well as industrial consumption of the and communities.

The that's placed on the corner of the building, which is built in the styles of Eclectic and Neo-Renaissance, is covered with a dome that features a lantern tower. The top gable is embellished with and topped with a pointed that's adorned with a that contains the initials of the former owner. Underneath the roof and the pointed pediments that are placed above the second floor windows, you can alternately see and . The parts underneath these windows are decorated with , as well as foliage. The windows are flanked by columns and , which are either crowned with an Ionic or a Corinthian .
