Post Offices Palace

The construction of the two-story building, which was built for administrative purposes, was completed in 1906. It was built on a plot where the walls of the bastion of the city of Brașov used to stand, which were demolished in the 1880s. In 1889 the post office and telegraph office were merged and placed under the management of Eduard Kopanitsch. Between the and , the new headquarters was one of the most visited buildings in the city. From here letters, postcards, telegrams, and goods were sent and received. Inside the building, there are huge halls with massive wooden doors, beautifully carved tables, and even a small artesian fountain. In the 1970s, one of its wings was extended, but its style did not change.

The mansard roof of the building, which is built in the styles of Eclectic and Neo-Renaissance out of yellow bricks and sandstone, is covered with red roof tiles and topped with and . The impressive top gables are topped with a decorative shell, and in some cases embellished with either a , or with globes, , garlands, an , and a richly decorated . The roof , which runs around the entire building, is adorned with loads of . Either a straight or a pointed adorned with another decorative shell is placed above the second floor windows, except for one window, above which a fragment decorated with the construction year and a mascaron is placed. The aprons that are placed underneath some of these windows are adorned with a circle and six . The porch that covers the main entrance door is supported by two columns and two that are crowned with a Doric . The balcony on top of it is secured with a stone balustrade with incorporated . The frieze contains several and adorned with guttae. The that's placed above the main entrance door contains a mascaron that depicts the Greek god .
