George Popp House

The construction of the three-story building, which was built with both residential and commercial premises, was completed in 1887. The construction, which was executed according to the project of the local architect and engineer , was commissioned by the Romanian merchant George Bucur Popp, who was born in 1844 as the son of the merchant from Schei Bucur Popp. George Bucur Popp was married to Vilma Popp with whom he had a son named Caius. He was the owner of properties all over the country and owned the large Boulevard Hotel in . He held the position of president of the parish committee of the and the school corporations in Brașov. George Bucur Popp died in 1912 and was buried in the Saint Paraschiva Church cemetery.
