David Mandl House

The three-story building was constructed in 1880 and built with commercial premises on the first floor and residential premises on the upper two floors. It was erected by the Jewish merchant David Mandl, who was married to Rosa, with whom he had a son, the lawyer Alfred Mandl. In 1914, on a rainy autumn day, Alfred Mandl, suffering from a serious nerve disease, committed suicide in a carriage, shooting a bullet in his head. In 1912, the watchmaker Heinrich Ostersetzer's jewelry store moved into one of the commercial premises. He was born in 1869 and graduated from the watchmaking school in , where he received a special distinction from Archduke . In addition to jewelry, Heinrich also sold silverware and offered watch repair works. In the 1930s, the Romanian Banking Company operated in the building.

The roof of the Neo-Renaissance building is adorned with , which are present in different sizes. The stretching from the second to the third floor are all crowned with an Ionic . A straight is placed above the third floor windows, while a pointed one is placed above the second floor windows, but what they have in common is that they are all supported by two . A huge is placed underneath the third floor windows, all of which are embellished with a total of six . A cute little supported by two corbels is placed underneath one of the second floor windows, which contains eight .
