Ferenc Marschall Palace

- Splaiul Tudor Vladimirescu 12 -
Until 1892, the construction of any buildings was prohibited on the site where the current three-story residential and commercial building, as the citadel esplanade was located there. However, the possibility of expansion appeared in the town planning plans that were drawn up between 1893 and 1895. In 1899, Doctor Rona Ignacz purchased two plots, on which later, the current building was constructed. Later on, he sold the two plots to Ferenc Marschall, a well-known merchant in the city of Timișoara. At the end of 1903, he obtained a building permit for a three-story palace, a project entrusted to the Hungarian architect . The construction took place in the period that lasted from 1903 until 1904.
