Butchers' Guild Headquarters

In 1888, the construction of the two-story building was completed, which was built as the headquarters of the Butchers' Guild. The building was constructed according to the design that was created by the Hungarian architect Győző Nagy and built by the Hungarian master builder Pál Soós. The building was built on the site of the ruins of the buildings that were destroyed in the fire of 1876. The fire that started from one of the 's annexes destroyed many buildings that were generally built of wood. The guild's office and clubhouse were located on the upper floor, and the Grand Butcher's Office operated in the first floor wing facing the courtyard, on the left, where the master butchers sold their butcher's goods. After the nationalization in 1949, the building was transformed into a cinema named Youth Cinema. In 2004, the butchers' guild was re-established and demanded in court the restitution of the building.

The , which are placed above the circle-top windows, are adorned with even more acanthus foliage.
