Hotel László

The building was originally built somewhere at the beginning of the 19th century as a one-story building. Somewhere between 1906 and 1912, the building was upgraded with another floor and got its current appearance. The upper floor was used as a hotel, while the first floor was used as László's ballroom and a restaurant. Over the years a lot of different restaurants operated on the first floor, including New York, Csillag, and then Maros, but also the coffee house named Royal.

The interior of the Coffeehouse Royal was decorated with lovely chandeliers, palm trees, beautiful panels, and a stained glassed roof. The furniture was created by the Austrian furniture making company called from . For decades, the coffee house was the favorite and number one place in the city's social life. This came to an end when a multinational bank took over the building and converted it into a bank building, which caused the interior to be lost.

The symmetrical building, which is built in the Art Nouveau style, is lavishly decorated with all sorts of floral ornamentation. This can be seen in the two fragments that are placed in the frieze, as well as rectangular fragments above the second floor windows. It can also be admired in the , which are also decorated with geometric shapes. The railing of the is also richly decorated with floral ornamentation and the same goes for the part underneath this same balconet. Underneath the roof overhang, you can see several that alternate with several and motifs.
