The construction of the two-story corner building took place in 1903 according to the project of the Hungarian architect from . The construction of the building, which was built for commercial and administrative purposes, was led by the Hungarian architect . Initially, it housed the Agrarian Savings Bank, which as a result of the of 1929, the bank went bankrupt. After that, the building housed a restaurant, and later some political organizations, and from 1992, it was taken over by Kereskedelmi Bank.

The most distinctive feature of the Art Nouveau building is the , which contains a lantern tower that's crowned with a . The eaves of the roof, which are covered with roof tiles in many different colors, are also crowned with a finial. Some parts of the eaves, as well as the wooden , are supported by two or more wooden . The building is beautifully decorated with all kinds of plant motifs, geometric forms including dentils, and a circle-top window resembling a rising sun. The circular and hexagonally shaped are supported by a cone-shaped corbel and secured with a railing that's adorned with .
