Villa Erast Trapani

- Strada Alexei Mateevici 72 -
The construction of the two-story residential building, which took place between 1902 and 1903, was ordered by the court councilor of the City Hall and presider of the Chișinău-Orhei Orphan's Court, Erast Ferdinandovici Trapani. He bought the plot to build his villa from the nobleman Alexandru Pavlovici Leonard on July 5, 1902. The interior was built around a square hall and consisted of seven rooms that were evenly distributed along its perimeter. The house also had servants' quarters and a stable, covered with so-called tiles. Over the years it was given a different purpose, namely a ceremonial function where weddings were held.
