The impressive four-story building was constructed in 1884 with commercial premises on the first floor and residential premises on the upper floors. The building was constructed according to the design that came from the hand of the Austrian architects and . In 1906, the building was purchased together with the neighboring Neuer Thonethof, and from then on it was called Generalihof.

The drainage of the domes, which contain several dormers, is controlled by beautifully decorated . The top gables are decorated with a and , and its topped with a broken segmental . Many of the are supported by loads of adorned with even more volutes. The same counts for the corbels that support the and the many straight pediments. A lot of gold-written can be seen around the entire building. The columns and , which are abundantly present, are either crowned with an Ionic or a Corinthian . The other ornamentation that beautifully decorates the building consists of , , , foliage, as well as an that supports the triangular .
