Villa Ayet Bey Libohova

The two-story villa, which was constructed somewhere at the beginning of the 20th century, was originally built with a residential function. It was built for Ayet Bey Libohova, a former member of the State Council of the Ottoman Empire and son of Neki Pasha, who was governor of Ioannina. Ayet was a doctor of law and the first secretary of the Royal Hejaz Legation in in 1923. From 1929 until 1939, he was the president of the finance section of the Council of State in Albania. Ayet Bey Libohova died in Rome in 1952.

Under the communist dictatorship, the villa was the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy. Since the 1990s it has been the residence of the Apostolic Nunciature to Albania. On November 12, 1920, established the Apostolic Delegation in Albania. It disappeared in 1945 when the communists took power in Albania. After establishing diplomatic relations between the Holy See and Albania, on January 16, 1991, established the Apostolic Nunciature in Albania.
