Hotel Dobrai

- Trg Zmage 8 -
The two-story building which was built for residential and commercial purposes, was constructed in the period that lasted from 1908 until 1909. It was originally built as Hotel Dobrai by the innkeeper Janos Dobrai, who at the turn of the century already owned a hotel in the city where also concerts were held. In 1903, in addition to permission for a hotel, and inn, the owner obtained a further license for a cafe. Over the years, the old building had become too small for the expanding trade, so in 1908, Janos Dobrai applied for a building permit to construct a new building, which was granted by the district administration. The newly constructed building, which was probably built by a Hungarian architect from , later became known by the name Hotel Zvezda.
