Georgi Lazarov House

The dignified residential building was designed in 1912 and built in 1914 by a project of the Bulgarian architect . The building was built for the brothers Nikola, Todor, Lazar, Mihail and Boris Ivanov. It's the same Todor that owned the building on Angel Kanchev Street 3, the Tsvetan Radoslavov House. The family with roots in , branches into generations of traders and entrepreneurs, who donate properties and subsidize municipality projects.

Years later, the house became the property of Doctor Georgi Lazarov, who inherited it as the son-in-law of one of the heirs of the family. He is a well-known gynecologist who graduated in medicine in and apparently in unison with that, he decided to turn the building into a modern private clinic. After the nationalization, it was transferred into one of Sofia's maternity homes, which was its purpose until recently.
The Ivanov brothers
The top gables of the Neo-Baroque building are adorned with beautifully decorated with a laid on top of it. The circle top windows within the gables are flanked by two smaller cartouches. Underneath the roof , you'll be able to see a strip of that seems to be continuing under the roof overhang. The showpiece is the impressive in the center of the main facade. On each side of the oriel window, you'll be able to see two balconies, all of them secured with a wrought iron railing. The cornice on top of it is alternately decorated with foliage and . The fragment between the second and third floor contains a lavishly decorated cartouche, which can also be seen on the rounded corners of the building. The fragments between the first and second floor are embellished with a rectangular cartouche, which is adorned with lots of volutes. The , which are placed above the windows on the first floor, are also embellished with cartouches. Underneath the oriel window, you can admire another cartouche, which is lavishly decorated.
