The four-story corner building was built in 1906 for the commercial and administrative needs of the Agricultural Savings Bank according to the design that was created by the Slovenian architect . The Agricultural Savings Bank is the oldest Slovenian financial institution, which was founded on September 18, 1881. The most involved in its establishment were the well-known Slovenian patron Anton Knez and the brothers Mihael and Josip Vošnjak. Due to its solidity, the bank developed rapidly, so that by 1925 it was the largest cooperative credit institution in the country. Every year, the bank donated significant sums for national and cultural purposes, and in addition to its own monumental business palace, it already built two large and beautiful corner apartment buildings before the .
