Todor Burmov House

The residential building was constructed in 1899 for the politician Todor Stoyanov Burmov. When Burmov moved into the house he already had a name in the country's politics and his house was to be built near the Royal Palace. Prince of Battenberg often visited the place.

During the , he was treasurer of the Office of Civil Affairs at the headquarters of the Russian Army. In 1878 he was appointed vice-governor of , and the following year, governor of Sofia. This predetermines his brilliant political career. Prince Battenberg elected him the first prime minister of the country, and at the same time, he was the Minister of the Interior and head of the Ministry of Education.

Also, the politician and lawyer, professor Stoyan Petrov Danev lived in the building. In 1914, Danev and his family settled in the house located at Vrabcha Street 7. At that time he was prime minister of Bulgaria for the fourth time. He was also the leader of the Progressive Liberal Party.

Danev studied at many universities abroad. After his return from France in 1884 he worked as a lawyer in Sofia. From 1894 to 1898 he was a professor of international law at the University of Sofia. During his tenure as an assistant professor, he began his political career in 1894, when he was elected a member of the National Assembly, of which he was a member until 1896. In 1897, he succeeded as chairman of the Progressive Liberal Party. He held this post until his death in 1949.

At the age of 91 years and 183 days, Danev was the oldest prime minister in the history of Bulgaria.
Stoyan Petrov Danev
The first-floor windows of the building, which is built in the styles of Neo-Baroque and Eclectic, are richly decorated with angular and segmental . Under each of the pediments, two beautiful are placed to give the pediments more flair. The under each window contain three on each side. Every window on the second floor has a placed above the windows with underneath it a nice small . On the second floor, more cartouches can be seen on the interrupted vertical columns made of white stone blocks. On the west side of the building, a large can be admired. This medallion includes a beautiful lion head sculpture. The main entrance door is wood carved and has a pilaster on both sides with Ionic .

On the left side of the main door, there is a plaque that states that Todor Burmov and Stoyan Danev lived here. On the west side of the building a wrought iron , with a balcony on top, leads you to another entrance.
