Ivan Basarov House

- Vitosha Boulevard 30 -
The construction of the residential and commercial building, which was built for Ivan Basarov, was finished in 1910. The design for the construction came from the Bulgarian architect . For years, the red facade was on the verge of destruction, but proper restoration restored its beauty.
The building before the restoration
The building, which is built in the Art Nouveau and Eclectic style, contains many geometric shapes. They can be admired all around the building, but the most eye-catching shape can be seen in the top gable. Underneath the top gable, you can see a semi-hexagonal , which has a small balcony on top of it. Two more, yet a bit bigger balconies can be seen just left of the oriel window. All of the balconies are secured with a wrought iron railing, which is decorated with floral ornamentation.
