Dragomir Petrović House

The two-story residential and commercial building was built in 1912 by Dragomir Draža Petrović, a lawyer from Šabac. He was born on July 30, 1865, in Mala Vranjska, and studied primary school in his native village and Šabac, and high school in Šabac and . After his graduation in 1891 from the Faculty of Law in Belgrade, he started working at the Šabac District Court, the Court of First Instance for the town of Belgrade, and the Court of First Instance in . After the death of his brother Vladimir, in the middle of 1893, he left the civil service and devoted himself to the practice of law. As a member of the Radical Party, he joined the Editorial Board of the newspaper Radikalac, where he collaborated with the later famous writer . During the and , as a reserve infantry lieutenant, he was the commander of the last defense of Šabac. In the , although already fifty years old, he retreated with the Serbian army through Kosovo, Montenegro, and Albania, to the island of Corfu. In October 1917 he was sent to to organize humanitarian aid to impoverished Serbian families in the Podrina district. After arriving in Šabac in 1918, he assumed the duties of the district chief, but resigned the following year and devoted himself to the practice of law again. After a long illness, he died on January 26, 1937, in the Banovina Hospital in Šabac.

The most distinctive feature of the Art Nouveau building is the semi-circular that's supported by a cone-shaped . The that flank the oriel window are crowned with a Corinthian .
