Alexander Kisov House

The residential building was designed by the Bulgarian architect and was built in 1913. It was built for the Bulgarian cavalry General Alexander Nikolov Kisov, who was born on June 10, 1879, in . In 1898 he graduated from the Military School in Sofia and in 1899 he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant. He was sent to France, where in 1906 he graduated from the military academy, and on December 31, 1906, he was promoted to the rank of captain. From 1907 until 1908 he served as a company commander in the retinue of Tsar and as a military mentor to Prince .

During the , he was chief of the operational department at the headquarters of the combined 4th and 5th armies. After the , in the period from July 1913 until December 1913, he was a member of the demarcation commission for the border with Serbia.

During the , he was chief of the checkpoint, and in the war with Romania in 1916, he was chief of staff of the cavalry division of Major General . From 1918 until 1922, he was chief of the Cavalry School, head of the operational department at the headquarters of the Army, and commander of the First Infantry Brigade. On March 26, 1925, he was promoted to the rank of major general, and on May 15, 1930, to the rank of lieutenant general. Cavalry General Alexander Kisov died on December 26, 1964, in Sofia.

The yellow-white colored building is built in the styles of Art Nouveau and Neo-Baroque. The building's most characterized feature is the beautiful with a copper roof and the top gable above it. In the highest part of the gable, you can see a shield-shaped , which is surrounded by decorative garlands. The oriel window is adorned with even more cartouches, as well as , foliage, and .

Above each of the windows on the first floor, you'll be able to see a pointed , while the windows on the second floor have a segmental one on top of them. Underneath the segmental pediments, another cartouche can be admired, which is flanked by even more acanthus foliage. Under the roof , on each corner of the building, you can see some decorative and on the first floor white colored . The windows on the first floor are flanked by that are crowned by Corinthian . Above the beautiful wood carved main entrance door you can admire six and a festoon that's adorned with flowers.
