Alexander Baumgärtner House

- Ulica Županijska 8 -
The current two-story building, which was originally built as a one-story building was adapted to become a residential and commercial building. The adaptation works were executed in the period that lasted from 1903 until 1904 for Alexander Baumgartner and his family, who was known for its sewing machine workshop, which was founded in 1885. The order for the adaptation was given to the Croatian architect , who had to keep in mind to design a workshop, shop, and apartment in it. Alexander Baumgärtner was a mechanic and the chief representative of the famous Pfaff sewing machines for the whole of Slavonia, who opened his first mechanic shop immediately after his arrival in Osijek.
