Croatian Post Office

- Trg Slobode 9 -
The construction of the two-story administrative building, which was built as the Royal Postal and Telegraph Office, was completed in 1902 and opened its doors to the public on April 26 that same year. The need for a new postal building arose as the old post office building became too small. The design for the construction of the newly built building came from the hand of the then-famous Varaždin builder Julije Vilert, and the construction was financed by the city administration. It was the last masterpiece of the builder Vilert because he died 48 days after the opening of the post office, at the age of 54.
