Villa Istra

The two-story villa, which was built with a residential function, was originally constructed in 1878. The building, also known as Villa Skale, underwent an adaptation in 1908, which was executed according to the design of the Italian architect Andrej Tollazzi. The villa was completely renovated in 1996, and with minor adjustments, it opened its doors as a hotel with the name Villa Adora in 2012.

The building, which is built in the Historicist style with Art Nouveau elements, features two , one of which is covered with a , while the other one is covered with a hip roof that's crowned with . The eaves are supported by a lot of wooden , of which the ones used for the gables are more lavishly decorated. On the southern side of the building, you can see two beautiful wooden . The , which is placed on top of the bay window, is secured with an iron railing that's adorned with floral decoration, including . The , located on the second floor, are embellished with floral and geometric decorations. The ornamentation above the windows consists of , , and straight , some of which are supported by two corbels.
