Stefan Karadzhov House

The residential building was built around 1907 and was originally built as a one-storey building. The second floor was added in 1927 and was constructed by a design of the Bulgarian architect . The original building was built for the Bulgarian financier Stefan Karadzhov, who was born in 1858 in the village of Kubanka, a small village near . From 1899 to 1905 he was governor of the Bulgarian National Bank. Since 1900 he has been a full member of the , nowadays the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. He is the initiator of the founding of the Sofia Trade High School. Stefan Karadzhov died on December 9, 1931 at the age of 73.

The most eye-catching feature of this building, which is built in the Eclectic style, is the in the center of the main facade. The circular window in the middle looks like an eye, which is watching out over the street below. A decorative vase is placed on top of the oriel window. The building contains many geometric shapes, which can be seen in the and . The diamond shapes between the first and second floor definitely attract your attention. On the southern side of the building, there's a small balcony, which is secured with a curved wrought iron railing. The main entrance door, which is located on the northern side of the building, has a cute little on top of it. The building was last renovated in 2011, which changed its color from orange to beige and white.
